    The first woman to run for President was Shirley Chisholm in 1972. She was a pioneer as the first African American woman elected to congress, as well. She died in 2005.

    Small factual point -- by the rules of presidential succession I believe Pelosi is now the highest ranking woman *ever* in us history.

    I like Halle Berry and all but not sure her or the last four rise to the others.
