Art Thank You Letter Criteria
4—Excellent
• The student uses the proper letter writing format by fulfilling all 6 requirements—date, greeting, 3 body paragraphs, closing.
• The student discusses one piece of art and 4 ways it made him/her feel.
• The student has one or no spelling or grammatical errors in the letter.
3—Good
• The student uses the proper letter writing format by fulfilling 4-5 of the requirements—date, greeting, 3 body paragraphs, closing.
• The student discusses one piece of art and 3 ways it made him/her feel.
• The student has 2-3 spelling or grammatical errors in the letter.
2—Fair
• The student uses the proper letter writing format by fulfilling 2-3 of the requirements—date, greeting, 3 body paragraphs, closing.
• The student discusses one piece of art and 2 ways it made him/her feel.
• The student has 4-5 spelling or grammatical errors in the letter.
1—Poor
• The student uses the proper letter writing format by fulfilling one of the requirements—date, greeting, 3 body paragraphs, closing.
• The student discusses one piece of art and 1 way it made him/her feel.
• The student has 6 or more spelling or grammatical errors in the letter.
Grading Scale:
A= 11/12
B= 9/10
C= 7/8
D= 5/6
F= 3/4
