To be able to work well together, employees need to build a team spirit and an atmosphere of cooperation. Having a team by your side creates the feeling that you have a support network, and coworkers will start thinking of themselves as part of a group. This will compel others to contribute to strengthening the team.

Games

Organize a day where everyone can participate in a learning activity. Games that employees can participate in include tug of war, human knot and relay.

Retreats

Taking a trip together builds camaraderie among coworkers, because it's a time they can relax and get to know the person beyond the office setting. To make the retreat productive, members can organize off-site training at a resort.

Guest speaker

Speakers are great to have because they motivate the team and allows team members to work on solutions as a group. Stew Friedman, author of the book "Total Leadership," is a motivational leadership speaker who help companies in team building.

Classes

Take a class with your coworkers. This can be a certificate class related to your field of work, or a hobby class. A popular activity is a golf clinic where beginners can learn golf and golfers can practice their swing.

Volunteer

Helping others in need strengthens relationships because you now have a shared accomplishment in making others' lives better. Habitat for Humanity is a popular group activity that employees can engage in.
