Posted 2 months ago We want our students to read whether they are boys or girls. But the NAEP scores say that boys read less than girls. The gender gap grows as students progress (Zehr, july 15, 2009). We need to do something and these authors said we have to meet boys needs. The article also goes to state that boys don't like to sift through a large muddle of books to find one they might be interested in. So should we as teachers address this need by segragating "boy" books from "girl" books?
