Hi All:

I posted to this group a couple weeks ago about a new study on dropout prevention strategies. The authors actually just produced a podcast that summarizes the findings of the research. http://www.issuelab.org/bridgespan_podcast

For those of you who didnt have the time to read the study but might have a few minutes to listen to the podcast as you multi-task, I would love to hear your opinions. Does the scenario described in the study seem familiar in your local school environment? Do you think interventions need to start even earlier than middle school? How feasible are these strategies in different school districts?

Please chime in if you have a chance.

P.S. You can access the full study at http://issuelab.org/pps_bridgespan.html

Thanks,

Gabriela
