Posted 10 months ago Students in major cities in Indonesia are willing to learn English as their second language. Many "international programs" are now being offered, and all using English as the medium of communication.

| Posted 10 months ago Dear mat59oke. Been there, done that, loved it. I taught for ILP (International Language Programs) just outside of Jakarta, for two years (1988 -1990.) My students, however, were government employee college graduates who were going to take the TOEFL exam so as to get admitted to graduate schools in the USA. Indonesia is a truly lovely land (well, you DO have to like heat and not be over-bothered by insects) and the people are wonderful: friendly, hospitable, and so courteous/helpful. My time there was delightful.
