Just curious if you've ever had an argument with a parent....if you did? What was it about?

Grades, of course. Despite all the visible evidence, Mom was absolutely certain that her child deserved a better grade (actually, the one given was rather generous.)

This is a TRUE story:

I had a mom literally yell at me because she wanted for me to "keep" her child after school for an hour and a half while she went on a job interview!   When I told her that I had other engagements to attend to, she yelled at me for about 3 minutes (this may not sound like a long time, but it is when someone is screaming at you) about how I put on a "show and dance" on how much I love these kids, but I couldn't sacrifice a little of my time to help her cihld out while she was trying to better herself!!

Can you believe that?!?!?!  She was furious because I wouldn't babysit her child on my own time!!

I had just started teaching and I was quite younger then.  When she left, I bawled for about an hour!   I wonder if this parent would have asked this of me  now that I'm "older."

Thankfully, not to my face. But, I've dealt with grading complaints from teachers via my principal.
