I like to make sure that my spelling is correct before I post anything.  As a result, I type all my posts in Microsoft Word before copying and pasting them in the post area.  The thing is, when I do this it copies over, for lack of a better term, internet script which I do not see until after I hit submit.  Then I need to hit edit and erase the script before resubmitting the post.  It would be a lot easier if I could spell check within the posting area or be able to copy and paste without other things showing up.

Just a suggestion.

It certainly would be - a good suggestion. Just remember to be careful of those tricky homophones (e.g. weak/week. two/too/to, etc.) Spell Check's major weakness: if it's a word, it's OK, even if it's the wrong word. As for Grammar Check - yikes. Forget that one entirely. It's wrong more often than it's right.

Is it my imagination, or did there use to be a spell-check feature in the forums before the recent upgrade? Maybe it is some other part of the site that I'm thinking about.

I use Safari and that particular browser, if you go to Edit, has a spell check. You know, The Apple, Mac. La, la, la, la la, la.

I thnk that the way to go is to type and edit in word,  then paste into notepad to lose formatting from word, and then paste onto website.

This is still a multi-step process, so it doesn't quite solve the problem.

Amen, Samantha.

Did I mention that Jill said she would check with the engineers and get back to us?   Still haven't heard a word...was that 2 or 3 weeks ago...or maybe longer?
