Posted about 1 year ago I was really excited when a teacher shared with me that she is the sponsor of a group of students in her elementary school called Kids for Christ. She stated that a couple of students asked her if she would be willing to do Bible lessons with them and pray with them some mornings before school started. At first she declined though her principal had encouraged her to do start the group. Then a parent called her to ask if she could help her start the group and other students began asking for the group. In a school of 200 students with only two grade levels in the school, the group has grown to a faithful 45 students who have their parents bring them to school a half hour early once a week to be a part of Kids for Christ. She said that this year students really led the group and decided the types of things they wanted to do. She said that they sing, talk about stories in the Bible and how they apply to their lives, and have incorporated community service as a goal for next school year. Any other schools have these types of groups? If so, what kinds of activities do they do? Most of us know about Fellowship of Christian Athletes. For those of us who do not, can someone share their experiences with their FCA group? |

| Posted about 1 year ago It could very well be:
" In 1963, the myth that the Bible was taken out of the schools began to grow. As a result it was effectivly removed from the daily lives of many of America's children. It is our goal and vision is to educate the body of Christ that the only madatory Bible reading and prayer were removed from our schools and play a role in planting and facilitating a Bible club in every public schools in the USA. Whether hands on or by our influence, the aim is pouring a vision into the nation, not building a kingdom for KFCUSA. If we and others work together we will succeed we'll see a nationwide movement that changes this land. Our purpose is simple: Reach children in the public schools with the good news of Jesus Christ. Encourage young believers in their faith; enabling them to live consistently in Christ. Train and equip young believers with what they need to win others to Christ. We believe that by doing these things we will positively affect our schools and our children's lives. Just as yeast permeates every part of the dough so also will our influence permeate the schools. Lives will be changed and every part of our society will consequently be affected. "
