This is the first book I read after receiving my ECE teaching credential, and it literally saved me from dropping out of teaching as a career before I'd even started. The book is an inspiration to all new teachers who feel afraid to show any weakness or fear. Although Esme's tone may be a tad haughty for this San Franciscan teacher, her writing style is so fluid and perfectly timed, I couldn't resist reading the entire book in one sitting. You'll love it. And it's now out in paperback, so you can afford to love it, too!

This book was a great read and it helped show that being a teacher means being able to addapt and connect with your students its a great book for teachers just starting out

LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE! Esme's antics with students, adminstration and parents always cheers me up. Her wit is charming and at times down right hilarious.
