Post-Baccalaureate Teacher Prep Program

This degree is for those with a Bachelor’s degree who want to teach K-12.

If you already have a Bachelor’s degree in a non-education field, this type of degree program can build on your existing degree and prepare you to become a licensed teacher. This degree program will train you to become a highly-qualified teacher. During the program, core education courses will be taught in addition to supervised practice teaching in a classroom setting.

Before enrolling in a post-baccalaureate teacher prep program, degree seekers need to decide their desired type of certification. Many types of degree focuses are offered by various universities, including programs that prepare teachers for certification in K-5, 6-8, 9-12, gifted ed, special ed, and other teaching careers.
