I live in the Denver metro area and have a professional license with both Special Education and Secondary English Language Arts. I've filled out about 120 applications and had 15 interviews this summer and I have no job. There are hundreds of teachers who are out of work or looking for work in the Denver area right now. I don't know why they keep saying there is a teacher shortage. I thought I was entering a safe profession because the media keeps saying there's a shortage but I'm going to have to file unemployment.
