2008 Presidential Candidates On Education Reform
Ledyard King / USA Today

White House hopefuls are divided on the federal government’s role in education as Congress considers changes to President Bush’s signature schools law, the No Child Left Behind Act, and how to make college affordable. Candidate positions on education were compiled by Ledyard King of Gannett News Service, The Des Moines Register and USA TODAY.

Excellent presentation of a very real issue. One way to address the problem is to use Internet Home Schooling. But be careful some programs are home schools that only give directions for what to read in the books they send. The amount of reading in those programs can be excessive.

This is a great reference I'm going to use with my students.

Thank you for giving us the candidates position on education 'at a glance'. While this maybe their position now (or in some cases in the past), their positions will change since they are politicians.

Hmmm, so rather than vote for the "old guard", you plan to vote for the "older guard."

I'm only looking at two Democrats: Clinton and Obama. Hillary has changed her mind about so much stuff it isn't even funny. She's a part of the old guard so I will not vote for her. Unfortunately if she is nominated as the psarty's candidate I will vote Republican.
